Lightdouse Restaurant in Grand Isle

Meal was excellent!! Prices are higher than most the restaurants on the Island. I don't mind paying extra for great food & quick friendly waitress. Definitely will eat at Light House again!!!!

Hamburger steak is to die for

Everytime i've been here, the food is wonderful. Homemade italian dressing is fantastic <3

The most money I have ever spent on a meal. Even the kid's menu had nothing under $10. The average cost of anything on the menu was $20+. Service was good. We had a really nice waitress, but the food was bland.

This was the worse food I have ever eaten in my life!I was sick within hours of eating here! The oysters tasted like dirt and the food was greasy with no seasoning! Terrible!!!!!!

Pretty good seafood if you're on the island.

Doubt Grand Isle is known for it's culinary fare...but hands down, the Lighthouse is the best. House salad is mixed greens...not shredded lettuce (sorry, Starfish Restaurant). Ceramic plates (not plastic baskets)...sorry Starfish). Ribeye was downright fabulous. Perfect seasonings and cooked perfectly. Potatoes were oven baked, with all the accoutrements...yumm.Can't wait to go back. Waiter was great, as well.

Server was extremely rude to every single table . We were even talking to each other (tables) about how shocked we all were on how he treated us! Most plates we got tasted like propane but some plates tasted good . Not sure what happened to this place from all the previous good reviews ( the whole reason we came here ) !!

Seafood platter was not very good. Best part of the meal was the baked potato.

Horrible. Waited over 2hrs to eat. Appettuzer and salad took 11/2hrs. Over priced for the amount of food. Had to take good to go,and ate on the road, because got sleepy waiting.Never again

Lovely restaurant to treat yourself to once in a while. Especially for a nice romantic meal during Valentines Day for example. They normally have certain deals going on around this time. Very nice atmosphere in this place and served with a great smile. Food is top of the line and a large menu to choose from on top of that. Owners are very friendly and welcoming.

Was very excited after reading all the reviews. I guess we went on an off night, the service was great but the food was bland, I've had better t.v. dinners. Mine was the Jerry's Special, the chicken was bland, the gravy was watery, and the mash potatoes tasted like they were from a box. My wife got the crabcakes over noodles covered in a crawfish sauce. The crabcakes had no flavor and was like a bland mush. I was very disappointed but I would give I another shot

Hands down the best food here. The service was amazing and the food, perfect. I had the “Special” Hawaiian Ribeye after our appetizer of Crawfish Kickers. Both were outstanding. Hubs decided on the Blackened Seafood Platter and was impressed.

My husband and I loved the food and had great service. Have been there twice, and it was perfect both times.

Food was terrible, the service was terrible and it was hot in the restraunt. Everyone that ate there afterwards was sick later. STARFISH is way better!!!

When we sat down originally and saw the menu (which was fairly simply laid out), I saw the prices and my eyes widened, but we wanted some good seafood and figured it would be worth it if the food came out tasting great. I had the stuffed crab and the wife ordered the seafood platter, thinking it would be about the right amount of food. I could hardly finish the 3 crabs that came out on my plate and was able to pick at my wife's plate. The seafood platter was incredible (so was the stuffed crab)! We had food to take home and boy was it good.Atmosphere was decent, but we had a window a/c unit right over our table which was loud. Only reason for no 5-star rating. Will return next year when we go down for our annual fishing trip!

They have pretty good food there I like their hamburger steaks better than their Seafood

Food was good but they over charged my credit card and when I went back and asked them about it the owner threatened to call the polic
